Our Story

We are a family rooted in the heart of the Holy Land, living in Israel, shaped by both Jewish and Christian tradition, and deeply in love with the beauty of faith.

For years, our home has been a place of worship, prayer, and reverence for the sacred. We light candles, we bless our doorposts, we open Scripture together — and through these rhythms of faith we discovered a longing to share that beauty with believers around the world.

A Story That Began in South Africa

Long before we called Israel home, we grew up in South Africa with a deep and vivid love for this land. Sunday school gave us that. The extraordinary stories of the children of Israel, from Noah's Ark to the Exodus, through the wanderings of the patriarchs and matriarchs, and into the life of Jesus as He walked, taught, and loved His way across this precious land, shaped the way we saw the world and the faith we carried into adulthood.

The connection between the Jewish faith and Christianity has always felt, to us, not like a boundary but like a bridge. Both faiths are rooted in the same sacred scriptures. Both are built on covenant, on promise, on the love of a God who does not abandon His people. This is not a new idea, but it is a living one, and it is the idea at the very heart of Moriah Cross Works.

How It All Began — With a Mother and Her Bible

The matriarch of our family is a woman of deep and devoted faith. She reads scripture avidly — often lost for hours in the texts, following the Word with the kind of unhurried attention that most of us can only aspire to. Watching her one day, absorbed in her Bible, the thought arrived quietly and simply: what if we could make this more beautiful for her?

We had long admired the ancient Jewish tradition of the yad — the sacred reading pointer used to follow the Torah with reverence and care. It is a tradition nearly two thousand years old, born from a profound love for the Word of God. And we thought: our mother should have one of these. A Christian woman, reading her Christian scriptures, guided by a piece that honours both the ancient tradition it comes from and the faith she holds so dear.

That thought became a sketch. The sketch became a design. The design became Moriah Cross Works.

Made for the Christian Heart

Every product we create is conceived with the Christian heart and mind at the center. We love the depth, the beauty, and the sacred intentionality of ancient faith traditions, and we believe that when those traditions are expressed through the lens of Christian faith and love, something truly extraordinary is created.

Our debut collection — the King Solomon Stone Collection — is made up entirely of original pieces, conceived from scratch and brought to life through every stage of creation: concept drawings, CAD design, manufacture, packaging, and finally into your hands. Nothing is off the shelf. Everything is designed, developed, and finished with the care that a gift of faith deserves.

Rooted in the Holy Land

There is something that cannot be manufactured about creating faith gifts from the land where faith was born. We live where Jesus walked. We look out at hills that scripture named. We finish our pieces in a place where the sacred is not history, it is the present, living reality of every ordinary day.

Each Moriah Cross Works piece carries a fragment of authentic King Solomon Stone (Eilat Stone), blessed through prayer at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Garden Tomb — sites where heaven and earth have long felt very close, and where every stone carries the weight of centuries of faith.
